Mi Tianyuan, a 17-year-old student from Taicang, Jiangsu province along with two other young Chinese riders took the youth group crown at the 2017 Fédération Équestre Internationale (FEI) Youth Show Jumping Competition held on Sept 30 in Beijing.

This is a top international equestrian competition for young riders around the world, launched by the FEI and annually hosted in different countries. This is the first time China has hosted the competition.

Mi's interest in the sports came from his first rides with his father. He thoroughly enjoyed riding horses since an early age and slowly fell in love with the sport.
