Job fair for workers with disabilities held in Taicang

A job fair was held in Taicang, Jiangsu province on Sept 26 offering work opportunities to jobseekers with disabilities.

Of the 18 companies that attended the fair, 12 were foreign enterprises and included Mubea Group, a provider of automobile products, Föhl China, a zinc die casting firm, and AKG Thermal Systems.

Some 100 jobs in 20 different fields of work were offered to jobseekers, including employment as welders, draftsmen, copywriters and receptionists.

All positions offer compensated workers with above average salaries and benefits including social insurance and housing subsidies.

A vocational trainer from the Inclusion Factory, a Sino-German workshop and supplier for the automotive industry, said that the company has 18 employees, most of which are workers with disabilities, and plans to hire another 32 employees by the end of 2018.

More than 40 jobseekers reached preliminary agreements with employers at the job fair.
