Taicang-based Tonggao Advanced Manufacturing Technology secured more than 100 million yuan ($15.2 million) in orders at the international industrial equipment and transmission technology expo held in Shanghai on Sept 5.

The expo, the top of its kind in China, attracted over 600 exhibitors from home and abroad, specialized in advanced technology and the latest in high-tech and intelligent manufacturing.

Tonggao Advanced Manufacturing produces flexible and multifunctional lasers used in welding, processing and manufacturing, which can be used to increase efficiency and accuracy and improve the production process.

The metal automatic connection solutions and engineering technologies that the company provides for its clients are used in the auto, shipping building, high-speed train and aviation industries.

Tonggao Advanced Manufacturing has cooperated with research institutes in the US, Germany and Sweden in technological research and development.
