The 12th Taicang Beer Festival is set for Sept 13 to 17 at Taicang Software Park, Jiangsu province, Taicang Daily reported on Sept 6.

The festival is sponsored by the Taicang Roundtable (TRT), a professional association of European (largely German) invested small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) located in Taicang.

Each of the five nights of the festival has been given a special flavor – the opening ceremony, the BorgWarner Night, the TRT Night, the Mubea Night, and the Schaeffler Night.

A band from Bavaria, a southern state of Germany, will be putting on shows with mixed Chinese and German features. People will be able to learn how to roast pigs (a treat of German cuisine) and participate in lucky draws. Each day's activities will start at 18:00 and close at 24:00.

According to the TRT, tickets for four of the five nights (all except the Schaeffler Night) are now on sale from the TRT.

The Taicang Beer Festival is an important event in the city's annual cultural exchanges with Germany. It aims to strengthen economic and trade cooperation between China and Germany and promote exchanges in various fields including education, sports, culture, and environmental protection.
