Zhou Jingyi, a 12 year old from Singapore, has her eyes fixed on grabbing a medal at the competition. She has already begun making a name for herself following finishing as a runner up in the Challenge tournament in Doha and a win in Thailand earlier this year.

Taicang has a long standing relationship with the sport of table tennis and has worked as a host city in a string of important ITTF junior events for the past seven years.This is the third time that the ITTF Golden Series Junior Circuit China Junior and Cadet Open has been held in the city.
