Taicang Port continues to attract investment and global companies
Taicang Port, Jiangsu province, stands as a national economic and technology development zone, comprehensive bonded zone and category-1 port. Its growth continues on the back of a range of companies taking advantage of the area's unique geographic position, low trading costs, and preferential policies.
Japan's leading furniture and home furnishings retailer Nitori Holdings Group' logistics and trading center is one of the headquarters economy projects under construction in Taicang Port. With a total investment of about $150 million, the first-phase of the project will build a 150,000-square-meter two story logistic warehouse as well as a 20,000-square-meter exhibition and trading center.
Other projects that have headquartered in the port area include the Jiangsu division of the consumer products giant Procter & Gamble (P&G), secondary aluminum producer Ye Chiu Group, solar energy company GCL System Integration Technology, chemicals producer ABA Chemicals, and wind tower producer Titan Wind Energy.
