Jincang Lake in Taicang, Jiangsu province, held its first hot air balloon festival during China's National Day holiday, from Oct 1 to 7.

The colorful balloon carrying visitors up into the air has caught the attention of visitors to the festival during the seven-day holiday period.

The balloon is designed to resemble the house from the Disney Pixar movie Up, and is designed to give visitors an aerial view of Taicang, whilst also giving them a fun and unique experience.

Some 800 enthusiasts took the opportunity for a balloon ride, which saw them reach heights of between 30 to 50 meters.

Dancers also gave thrilling performances during the event, and some TV celebrities were invited to live broadcast the balloon rides.

Jincang Lake is a popular scenic spot in Taicang, with the lake covering an area of 600,000 square meters. It offers visitors an intimate experience with nature.

A 12000-sq-m parking lot, tour buses, windmills, and free WIFI hotspots, have also been set up at the lake to improve the travel experience for visitors.
