Asia's largest laminate tube manufacturer settles in Taicang

Sanying Packaging's new factory was completed in Liuhe town, Taicang, Jiangsu province, on Sept 23, the latest development in the laminate tube manufacturer's expansion plans, Taicang Daily reported.

As a global top three tube producer of laminate tubing, Sanying Packaging specializes in tubes for food, cosmetics and medicine. The company moved from Shanghai to Taicang in 2015 due to Taicang's affordable land prices – as a result the company's output value rose to 600 million yuan ($89.95 million) in 2016.

At a cost of some 820.91 million yuan, the new factory covers 62,000 square meters, making it the largest laminate tube manufacturing base in Asia.

Expected to enlarge Sanying's domestic and overseas market share, the site will provide advanced, safe and environmentally friendly products.

At present, Sanying occupies more than 40 percent of the total market share in toothpaste and 80 percent of pharmaceutical tubes nationwide.

The company carries out business in countries and regions, including USA, Germany, Japan and Russia, providing tubes for big name brands like L'Oreal, P&G, Nivea and Unilever.
