An express bus route linking Shaxi town in Taicang and Jiading district of Shanghai opened on Aug 1, speeding up travel to Shanghai, and helping the town better integrate into the economic rim of the metropolis, Taicang Daily reported.

The earliest shuttle to Shanghai leaves from Jiading bus station at 7:20 am, with the last bus leaving at 7:20 pm. There are 12 buses a day each with an interval time of about an hour.

The 37-kilometer commute takes about 40 minutes with one stop on the way.
