Mianzhu delegation visits Taicang
He Xiaorong, vice mayor of Mianzhu city, led a delegation to Taicang, East China's Jiangsu province on July 21 to investigate the city's biomedicine industry, Taicang Daily reported.
Mianzhu is a county-level city of Deyang, Sichuan province in Southwest China, which was heavily damaged during the Wenchuan earthquake in 2008.
The city's dominant industries include machinery, chemicals, and food represented by JNC Group, a well-known liquor manufacturer in China. It is currently planning the construction of a medical device industrial park.
The delegation visited the Taicang Biomedical Industrial Park and discussed the park's operation and management, investment promotion and pooling talent with the administrative committee.
The delegation also visited the Taicang operation of JOINN Laboratories, China's first pre-clinical contract research organization (CRO) inspected by the US FDA, for GLP compliance and the nation's first privately owned commercial GLP laboratory.
The delegation fully praised Taicang's work and achievements in biomedicine industrial construction.
During the visit, He expressed her thanks to the Taicang government's aid and support in the reconstruction of Mianzhu after the Wenchuan earthquake in 2008.
Partnered with Qitian town in Mianzhu, Taicang has offered economic aid and support towards the town’s reconstruction of schools, hospitals, markets, roads and a public service center, during which profound friendship has established between Taicang and Mainzhu.
