Taicang seeks global talent at Suzhou's Venture Week

The 8th Venture Week for International Elites took place in Suzhou on July 10, with many Taican businesses in the mix.

The expo aims to attract high-end talent from around the world to join the city's efforts in boosting the development of its modern industries.

Taicang-based Suzhou Brighter Information Technology Co was named as one of the ten most promising startup businesses of 2016, while the city displayed a Taicang Pavilion.

The pavilion was themed “prosperous Taicang, a paradise for entrepreneurs” and displayed the city's overall progress in Industrial development, economic construction and functional incubators. It invited talented individuals and groups to bring their teams, technology, projects and capital to Taicang.

Dr Lin Haiyuan, a returnee from Italy specializing in biomedical research, said that he was very satisfied with Taicang’s talent policy and he was willing to start a business in the city.

Wang Fangyijie, an IT specialist working in Ireland, teamed up with his counterparts to investigate Taicang's entrepreneurial environments. Wang highly valued the city's industrial park construction, which facilitated future investment and entrepreneurship.
