The launching ceremony of the micro film 66 Years of Waiting was held recently in Taicang, Suzhou, reported the Taicang Daily.

The love story tells of the heroine Tian Xueying's long wait for the hero Li Jin to come back from the battlefield to fulfill their promise. However, she is informed of his death after 66 years.

The producer Yan Hai, born in Taicang, said her hometown's idyllic scenery meets the micro film's needs. More importantly, it's a good opportunity to publicize the city.

The veteran actress Tao Yuling said she was impressed by Taicang’s rich cultural heritage during this, her first visit.

66 Years of Waiting will be in competition at the Asian New Media Film Festival this July and the Micro-film Festival of China next year.
