Taicang Tourists’ Festival to look forward to

For the vegetarians and vegans out there, or for those seeking healthier food options, Tongjue Temple Vegetarian Week might tickle your fancy. From May 1 to 3, over 100 exhibitors from as far away as Taiwan and Hong Kong will gather at the temple. Exhibitors will cook up dishes on site to the tune of folklore performances.

As if the wealth of food-related events wasn't enough, there are a number of other ways to enjoy Taicang Tourism Festival. Following on from previous years, the city will host a peony festival at Yuanhuayuan Villa, which will be decorated with thousands of pinwheels. A wind bell wall for wish-making can also be found at the villa.

Alternatively, the Orchids Trade Show will take place from April 5 to 7 at the Taicang Modern Agricultural Park. The show will attract experts, businesses, organizations and plant nurseries from 10 provinces and regions in China, including Jiangsu, Zhejiang, Shanghai and Taiwan.
