Beginning in June, 80million Chinese citizens were involved in the nationwide public survey, sample survey and data acquisition, which appraised 10 cities for the "2015 China's Happiest City" honorary title. The nine other happiest cities are Chengdu, Ningbo, Hangzhou, Nanjing, Xi'an, Changchun, Changsha, Shanghai and Beijing.
The survey focused on 42 indices of seven categories: education, healthcare, commodity price, living environment, social security, public services, and cultural life.
Organizers said that publishing the "China's Happiest City" list on the "World Cities Day", and promoting well-off and happy cities' construction achievements and experience will help to further enhance the image of Chinese cities, as well as to build the global influence of Chinese cities.
