Yangcheng Lake Peninsular Tourist Resort in Suzhou, Jiangsu province, has been enrolled as a national tourist resort along with 16 other resorts in the country, the National Tourism Administration reported recently.

The administration received more than 60 applications for the title. Tangshan Hot Spring Resort and Tianmu Lake Tourist Resort are two other winners in Jiangsu Province.

The title is considered the highest honor for tourist resorts in China, equivalent to the 5A rating for scenic attractions.

The administration will adopt dynamic supervision to ensure national tourist resorts maintain high service standards or lose their titles.
