The Shijiyuan community at Loudong neighborhood has held dual Mid-Autumn Festival and National Day celebrations for the last 12 years.

This year's celebration took place on Sept 26, the eve of the Mid-Autumn Festival, and saw community residents take part in ballad and song performances.

Running consecutively from 2004 to 2015, the community residents have organized 12 art performances during the Mid-Autumn Festival and National Day holiday period. While residents occasionally give performances themselves, art troupes are often invited to perform at the gala. Entertainment for elderly residents and children has been made available on several occasions.

According to Mr. Hang, who works with the community's property management company, his company has been carrying on such traditions and has donated money and personnel since taking over the management of the community three years ago.
