Taicang showcases its tourism strength in Wuxi

Taicang municipal tourism bureau, together with representatives from scenic areas, tourism hotels, and factory shops, hosted a promotional event in Wuxi, Jiangsu province, on Sept 25.

A number of industry agencies and media outlets in Wuxi attended the event.

Taicang municipal tourism bureau introduced four new approaches designed to attract visitors: aquatic products, crab tasting, shopping and relaxing and business events and incentives.

The famous mutton delicacy from Shuangfeng old town, the Shaxi old town scenic area, and the Modern Agriculture Park of Taicang were highlighted at the event.

With a total of 12 events on its calendar, the promotional campaign is focusing on a circle of cities close to Taicang in the Yangtze River Delta.

After the Wuxi stop, the team is scheduled to move on to the cities of Nantong, Suzhou and Shanghai. The four target cities have a combined population of 70 million with the highest average income in China and residents there are willing to spend money on travel.
