Two Taicang-based companies are to receive financial grants from the Jiangsu provincial government to aid their projects.

Guanglan's pipe line alert system, based on fiber optical technology, and Taiduo's magneto engine and control system for oil pumping towers are earmarked to receive financial grants of 570,000 yuan ($91,800) from the Jiangsu provincial government's 2015 innovation bursary for small and medium tech firms.

Since 2010, a dozen of projects in Taicang have collectively received approximately 3 million yuan from the provincial innovation coffer.
