A young man was arrested by border police from Liuhe town, Taicang city, for stealing from one of his co-workers.

The burglar, surnamed Luo, is addictive to cyber games. The victim is surnamed Wang. They worked together at Yeshun shipyard at Yugang Road.

Luo confessed that he learned Wang's debit card password by accident and stole the card on July 11. He also said he did it because he needed money to buy game materials.

After a 9,000-yuan ($1,450) withdrawal, the victim was alerted by a text message from the bank. He immediately called the police. He had been planning to use the money for his child's college tuition. The police found no forced entry signs in the dorm where Wang's debit card and ID were stolen.

After canvassing the neighborhood and watching the surveillance footage from the bank, the police found the suspect, later identified by Wang to be Luo, his co-worker.

Luo is now held on criminal charges.
