Suzhou Venture Week concludes with 541 signed deals
With 541 investment and cooperation agreements signed, Suzhou Venture Week for International Elites which was held at Suzhou International Expo Center during July 10-12 concluded, informed organizers.
The official also said that the three-day event drew 2,477 entrepreneurs and angel investors from more than 20 countries and regions. The event has become a platform for high-end professionals, entrepreneurs and investors to strike deals. A total of 2,526 technology projects were on display, 1,175 of them selected online, a 20.8 percent rise from last year.
Of the 2,477 guests invited this year, 69 percent had a Doctor's degree and 96.5 percent had Master's degree. Nearly 80 percent of them have studied or worked abroad. The projects they brought range from energy, new materials, smart grid, nanotech, biotech to advanced manufacturing, service outsourcing, finance and cultural industries.
The projects range from biomedicine (26.7 percent) to IT (23.9 percent), advanced manufacturing (12.3 percent), environmental protection (6.9 percent) and new energy (6.7 percent) industries.
Apart from the 541 signed projects, participants also reached tentative agreements on 658 projects and are still negotiating on 865 projects.
