The city of Taicang, Jiangsu province hosted a group of European participants in the 4th China-Europe High-Level Political Parties Forum, on April 22, who held discussions with European companies that had invested in Taicang.

The 26 officials from more than twenty European countries - representing political parties or the European Parliament - visited Schaeffler Holding (China) Co, a branch and the biggest manufacturing base of Schaeffler Group, a leading manufacturer of rolling element bearings. The officials also held a seminar with representatives of German-funded enterprises in Taicang, like Trumpf Machine Tools (Taicang) Co.

The city of Taicang, the top city for German investors and entrepreneurs in China, has 500 European corporations, including 180 German-funded enterprises with a total investment of $1.5 billion, and 20 Fortune 500 companies.
