The third China Orchid Fair was held at the Taicang Modern Agricultural Park in Taicang, Jiangsu province, from April 5 to 7.

The three-day event showcased more than 1,000 potted orchid flowers from Jiangsu, Shanghai, Anhui, Hubei and Zhejiang. Aside from orchid displays, the fair featured two trading areas to allow orchid enthusiasts to buy their favorite flowers.

After having held the orchid fair for two consecutive years, Taicang's orchid industry has enjoyed rapid growth. It has become the largest orchid production and trading area in Eastern China and contains more than 70,000 potted orchids worth 30 million yuan ($4.9 million).

The fair also highlighted classic garden landscapes in the agricultural park to match with the elegant orchid flowers.
