The city of Suzhou, Jiangsu province plans to set standards for local bookstores and promote their growth by encouraging more reading among its residents and to do this, it will open four new libraries in Metro stations and communities this year.

It will have a delivery program for books borrowed online and expand it to more communities so locals can use a card to borrow books with a record on the Suzhou Public Credit Information System.

There will also be some private museums such as the Suzhou Silk Museum, Kunqu Opera Museum and the Imperial Kiln Museum opening to the public this year.
