Plum blossoms bloom at Tiger Hill, in Jiangsu's Suzhou city, touching the famous site with a hint of spring.

The plum blossom is of great cultural significance in China, being a symbol of winter and a harbinger of spring. It symbolizes perseverance and hope, as well as beauty, purity, and the transience of life.

Tiger Hill, which owns the reputation of being the most beautiful scenic spot in Jiangsu province, is an attractive, meaningful tourist destination dating as far back as the late Spring and Autumn period (475-221 BC). Su Shi, a famous Song Dynasty poet, used to speak fondly of Tiger Hill, saying, “It’s a pity not to visit Tiger Hill when travelling in Suzhou”.

Tiger Hill is about three kilometers from the Suzhou Railway Station. Tourist buses No. 1 and 2, or bus No. 8, 32, 146, and 949 can get to Tiger Hill. [Photo/ Suzhou Daily]
