The fourth annual lotus exhibition will take place on June 28 in Taicang's South Garden, offering an ideal place to escape the summer heat.

The South Garden is now regarded as a quiet refuge in the noisy city thanks to its large-sized lotus flowers that symbolize beauty, elegance, peace and quiet.

Over 800 lotus flowers in more than 100 varieties will blossom at the show, including some newly imported ones. Lotus blossoms surrounding and reflected in the waters of South Garden have been a highlight of Taicang's summer tourism.

Visitors are recommended to arrive early with their cameras to enjoy dewdrops dancing on lotus leaves. Strolling down the winding path among the ponds, one will feel so relaxed viewing the flowers, alluringly open. The gusts of fragrance do a good job in blowing away all the exhaustion in a summer wave.

The one-month show also includes a lotus photography exhibition, a tourism photography contest and a dubbing contest in the Taicang dialect.

The summer holiday is approaching. The South Garden will provide parents and children with a cool place to appreciate lotuses.
