Suzhou hosts China-Norway ceramics exhibit
Beyond Shape and Structure means that the exhibits are beyond the shape and structure of traditional ceramics. With the aim of changing and enriching people’s traditional aesthetics of ceramics, the exhibition explains how the artists conduct the trial and transformation to ceramics and provide possibilities in contemporary artistic creation, so that the exhibits can diversify the spiritual connotation and expressive force of traditional art and reconfirm the traditional cultural resources.

The exhibit, organized by four Chinese and Norwegians, aims to present an attitude of mutual understanding and compatibility. It is not only an international art exchange, but also a dialogue between different regions and cultures.
Co-hosted by Suzhou Jinji Lake Art Museum, Norwegian Art Association and KODE Art Museums of Bergen, the exhibition will continue until Aug 23, 2014. The art museum has arranged lectures, seminars and studios during the exhibit.
