Suzhou tourism expo offers travel information

The Suzhou International Tourism Expo wrapped up on April 14 at the Suzhou International Expo Center. The three-day expo attracted a total of 55,030 visits.

As the first tourism expo in Suzhou, the exhibition provided a platform for the public to get tourism information and enjoy one-stop tourism services at fair prices.

The Suzhou garden exhibition booths were decorated in ancient architecture styles, catching many visitors’ attention. Gusu district highlighted its handicrafts, such as peach-stone carvings and sandalwood fans. Suzhou Industrial Park displayed business leisure tourist attractions represented by Jinji Lake scenic spot and Yangcheng Lake holiday resort.

In addition, Changshu, Zhangjiagang and Taicang jointly promoted their tourist attractions. Wuzhong district launched its spring tourism products. Kunshan focused on the old towns and National Agriculture Demonstration Zone. Xiangcheng district offered its crafts and wedding culture tourism. Wujiang and Tongli also had booths at the expo.

During the expo, 6,840 visitors booked tour packages on site, data from the Expo Committee showed. About 58 shuttle buses running between the expo center and neighboring scenic spots were offered to visitors.
