Huangjing town in Taicang set up an environmental protection committee on March 24. The committee, Taicang’s first township environmental protection committee, aims to work on effective measures to control environmental pollution and build a green and ecological town.

Huangjing has made progress in environmental protection, focusing on supervising polluting enterprises, promoting environmental protection and constructing an eco-civilization.

This year, the town will put more effort into preventing air, water and noise pollution. It will commit to curbing noise pollution in the textile industry.

The establishment of the environmental protection committee will boost public awareness of environmental protection and enhance the efficiency of environmental improvement.
