Overall promotional campaign to launch for Taicang gourmet festival

An overall promotional campaign will be launched for the 2014 Taicang Gourmet Festival and Tourist Culture Festival, which will last from March 28 to May 28.

The promotional activities will mainly focus on Shanghai and Suzhou, which are close to Taicang. Advertisements, a feature story and news about the gourmet festival will appear on various shows on Suzhou TV. The Suzhou channel of Xinhuanet.com would also have a special coverage of the festival. Meanwhile, outdoor advertisements will be set up in 16 major subway stations in Shanghai.

 Taicang has held the gourmet festival annually since 2002 to help drive the development of local tourism and food culture. The festival will hold various activities ranging from a cooking contest, consumption coupon distribution, peony cultural festival and themed evening performance.
