The fifth Family Cultural and Art Festival kicked off on March 15 in Taicang. During the seven-month festival, the Women’s Federation in Taicang will carry out an activity themed around the “most beautiful family” to display the city’s new trend of family harmony.

The festival covers seven family topics, including lifelong study, greening, health, low carbon and environmental protection, peace, hard work and honesty, and civilization and harmony.

The festival also involves a parent-child reading activity, body-building and square dance performances, low carbon promotion, environmental protection and garbage classification.

In addition, the Women’s Federation plans to launch an assistance program against domestic violence and provide psychological, legal and meditation services for victims of domestic violence.
