Taicang Municipal Technology Bureau launches three key projects

Taicang Municipal Technology Bureau is launching three key projects this year, aiming at enhancing innovative ability in local enterprises.

The three projects include small sized enterprises supporting projects, a project aimed at pulling together like-minded professionals, and an upgrading project for intellectual property.

Small enterprises supporting project

Taincang has issued a plan to help small and medium sized technological enterprises rapidly develop. It will give special assistance to 100 technologically-oriented small and medium sized enterprises, 100 hi-tech enterprises, 100 key enterprises with technological projects and 102 key projects by establishing an information database and training professonials.

Leading professionals gathering project

Taicang is broadening its ways to attract professionals. In order to nurture a batch of leaders, research personnel and technologically-oriented entrepreneurs, it is improving services, policies and the environment to attract them to stay.

Intellectual property rights upgrading project

Taicang is expending effort to enhance local innovation for increasing the amount of patents, to optimize the patent structure for upgrading its quality, and to apply patents for improving effectiveness. The city has applied for 6,000 patents, among which 2,000 are inventions and 35 are international PCT (Patent Cooperation Treaty) patents.
