The first travel guide pocketbook “The Allure of Suzhou” is selling well in Suzhou, Jiangsu province.

The book was first published in 2011, while the second edition and its English version were published last year.

The second edition of the book has now sold out and 10,000 more are being printed. The 3rd edition will be published next year.

The book covered cultural tourism in the city and has become the most popular book gift, according to Huang Chenhua, owner of a book store.

Fei Hongwen, the owner of another store, who was among the first to sell this book, said it was sold out every time after restocking.

“More than 4,000 books have been sold. Local residents bought it as a gift, and tourists from other places bought it for guidance.”

The manager of the team producing the book said 15,000 books in the first edition and English versions were printed previously, and 50,000 books in the second edition have been printed. They never thought all these would be sold out in such a short time.
