On Feb 18, an expert team inspected the city of Taicang and approved the city’s efforts to construct a beautiful town.

The experts focused on the inspections of Shaxi town and Liuhe town – two beautiful town demonstration sites – to evaluate the restoration of old residences, low-lying roads, rivers and other special programs. The two towns were highly praised for their environmental improvements.

During the past year, Taicang completed 239 projects related to beautiful town construction in total, including 90 in Shaxi town, 72 in Liuhe town, 20 in Fuqiao town, 29 in Huangjing town and 28 in Shuangfeng town. Work throughout the entire year has significantly improved the city’s environment and local resident livelihood.
