A microfilm competition depicting Taicang’s development over the past two decades ended with one film singled out for the first-place prize, three for the second-place prize, six for the third-place prize and 30 other films for the excellent prize. Some of the films that won the excellent prize have aired on famous video websites, including Tencent, Sina, Youku and Ku6.

The competition received 62 entries and three scripts from units and individuals since August. Participants in the contest consisted of professional microfilm units, folk film enthusiasts and college students. The microfilms showcased Taicang’s great development in the past 20 years, using local characteristics to highlight the region.
