Six toll station entrances on the Su Jia Hang highway (Suzhou-Jiaxing-Hangzhou), including Wujiang, Lili, Xiangcheng, Shajiabang, East Changshu and Dong Bang, have been installed with automatic toll road entrance ticket machines. The machines will be put into trial operation soon. The machines will be especially useful during night shifts.

The operation of the automatic machines is important for the highway service system in promoting its intelligent transportation system. The automatic system can greatly improve work efficiency and reduce personnel and other devices.

The machines have reading, distributing, memorizing, counting and sorting functions.

The automatic machines have two dispensers, upper and lower. Large vehicles take entrance tickets from the upper level while small vehicles take cards from the lower one. In addition, the machines can automatically detect vehicle types in 3 seconds. Vehicles with ETC cards, discount cards or business cards only need to place their cards in the IC card reading/writing area to pass the electric barrier.
