New Year play staged in Suzhou

The play Shou Sui, which means staying up late on New Year’s Eve, will be staged at the Suzhou Culture and Arts Center in Suzhou of Jiangsu province on January 10, 2014.

Film star Jiang Shan will play the lead role in the play, which is directed by Li Zongxi from Taiwan and supervised by Gao Qunshu.

The play tells the stories of three women of different ages: a grandmother suffering from amnesia who forgets everything in life but the most precious memories, a divorced woman taking care of her child, and a daughter who becomes pregnant accidentally and wants to live independently.
