More than 1,000 people from Suzhou of Jiangsu province took part in the 2013 Suzhou Yangcheng Lake Resort Bicycle Carnival on November 3, 2013.

The cyclists started at 9:30 am from a road near Chongyuan Temple and rode around the lake. People cycled through the beautiful scenery and enjoyed the recreational sport.

The cycling competition began at 1:30 pm.

Besides cycling, people also joined in fun games, such as a slow riding contest and a bicycle obstacle course. Promotions for bicycles, helmets and cycling gear were also available at the competition site.

The event will be held every year to advocate a healthy lifestyle and low carbon environmental protection.
