The 2013 Suzhou Network Cultural Festival closed on October 26. Taicang won a number of prizes in the festival. The publicity department of the CPC Taicang municipal committee was awarded an outstanding organization award. Taicang Release was awarded as one of Suzhou’s top 10 weibo accounts for government affairs. Commander Online was recognized as one of Suzhou’s top 10 weibo accounts for government affairs at the basic level. The China Taicang website got a prize as one of the top 10 government websites in 2013 most loved by netizens. The Taicang Yangfang website was awarded as a 2013 Suzhou civilization site.

Themed “Create a Wonderful Network, Experience Beautiful Suzhou,” the 2013 Suzhou Network Cultural Festival was centered on the Internet. It fully used weibo, WeChat, two-dimensional codes, mobile terminals and other mobile new media platforms to vividly present the wonderful network and a beautiful Suzhou to netizens. Taicang organized enterprises and public institutions to participate in the festival, showing the achievements of Taicang’s network enterprises. Also, a micro-film contest, “Chinese Dream, Taicang Emotion,” hosted by Taicang was an important part of the festival.
