Taicang will hold a series of activities during Mid-Autumn Festival and National Day, including performances, competitions and exhibitions.

On the eve of Mid-Autumn Festival, the Taicang municipal department of culture will hold a mid-autumn gala at Qingdao Road. The Taicang cultural center will organize opera actors to perform in the countryside for villagers. Taicang library will hold a series of free commonwealth lectures during the festivals and Taicang Grand Theater will stage Balcony, Shanghai opera and folk music concert during holidays.

During the holidays, libraries, cultural centers and museums will open as normal. Taicang museum will hold an exhibition displaying paintings from Loudong painters. Taicang library will open a book exhibition to mark the 68th anniversary of the victory of the War of Resistance against Japanese Aggression and a photo exhibition to mark the 20th anniversary of Taicang’s establishment.
