Suzhou on top 10 autumn tourism destinations list
Suzhou ranked ninth on a 2013 autumn travel trend report released by 17u.com on September 5.
The report collects data from autumn tour bookings such as hotels and attraction tickets over two months on popular travel destinations and themes among 100 popular destinations around the country.
Yili of the Xinjiang Uygur autonomous region, Xilingol of the Inner Mongolia autonomous region, Badaling of Beijing, Jiuzhai of Sichuan province, Sanya of Hainan province, Xiamen of Fujian province, Lijiang of Yunnan province, Guilin of the Guangxi Zhuang autonomous region, Suzhou of Jiangsu province and Hangzhou of Zhejiang province were listed in the top 10 popular autumn tourism destinations in the coming two months.
In general, the top three destinations are in the northern areas of China. The first two are famous for their grasslands. In the south, seaside resorts and water town attractions rank high. Suzhou and Hangzhou are famous for their water town scenery and local specialties, such as crabs.
