Traditional Chinese medicine (TCM), as a treasure of Chinese culture, has always attracted attention from the government and society. The institute on Schools of Loudong folk TCM was set up in Loudong on August 26. It is Taicang’s first officially registered academic group for TCM research.

As a non-profit academic group, the institute on Schools of Loudong folk TCM will promote academic exchange in traditional Chinese medicine. According to the person in charge of the institute, it will protect and promote TCM. Even further, it will pass down and popularize TCM culture, enhancing medical service for Taicang residents.
