A port is a core resource in developing an open economy and promoting economic globalization. Supported by financial services, Taicang Port focuses on goods storage and logistics. It aims to build a modern logistics system and logistics center for the Yangtze River Delta. Taicang Port will hopefully reach a turnover of 1 trillion yuan ($163.2 billion) and a cargo trade turnover of 100 billion yuan.
