Du Xiaogang was appointed the vice-mayor and acting mayor of the Taicang Municipal People’s Government on Aug 13. Wang Jianfeng is no longer the mayor of Taicang because of his job change, according to the 11th meeting of the 15th session of the Taicang Municipal People's Congress Standing Committee.

Du Xiaogang vows he will do his best to boost Taicang’s economic development and strengthen social stability. He will strive together with his team to make Taicang a modernization demonstration zone in southern Jiangsu province.
