In a bid to increase supervision, the department of medical insurance of Taicang has signed a service agreement with 5 appointed gyms,and residents can use their medical insurance card to pay.

An official of the Taicang Municipal Human Resources and Social Security Bureau said that the policy holders can use their medical insurance card to spend a maximum of 3000 Yuan.

The authorities require that the appointed establishments should be qualified by the Sports administration department, and the building area should cover a minimum area of 600 square meters. The appointed gyms should submit their fitness programs to the department of medical insurance for approval, and the price of fitness programs should be lower than the market prices - to ensure that policy holders can enjoy the benefits of their medical insurance.
