Liuhe gross output continues to grow

Liuhe town is a very important port in the east of Taicang. In the fist half of 2013, Liuhe town had a booming and stable economy, with the value of gross output reaching up to 4.26 billion yuan ($690 million).

The town concentrates on transformation and upgrading, and has attracted investments based on the electromechanical and electronic industries.

The northern industrial zone, home to plenty of enterprises, is the core competent region in Liuhe town that searches for industrial breakthroughs. Moreover, there have been more than 30 corporations that have opened offices in the industrial zone. Of those 30, more than 90 percent of them have come together to create an industrial value-chain cluster, making the zone the most active economic region in Liuhe.

The town also relies on leading corporations that operate spare parts for cars. Uniting other corporations in the same field, the town has dramatically increased the level of productivity.

In the second half of 2013, the town will import excellent industrial projects with better outputs and lower costs, most of which are a result of the transfer in industry in Shanghai.

Additionally, Liuhe town will also take full advantage of tourism to create a resort with high-quality hotels and various attractions. The efforts hope to encourage tourists and entrepreneurs to travel and invest in Liuhe town, which will surely in turn boost the economy.
