Several competitions - such as a vocational skills contest, young models contest, and contests involving debating and singing – will be held during the 2013 Taicang Youth Culture Festival which opened on June 28 and will end in December.

The festival is sponsored by the Taicang Municipal Committee of the Communist Youth League, and is aimed at enriching the spiritual life of Taicang’s young people - and inspiring them to care about their city and contribute to its development.

The event will offer young people many opportunities to exchange ideas and learn from each other, and the winners of the various contests will receive their prizes during the closing ceremony.
