Roses Association blooms for eco-tourism

On February 19-20, Zhang Zuoshuang, president of the Rose Branch of the China Flower Association, and Jiang Hongtao, its deputy president, visited Taicang for a pre-investigation of the 2012 China Rose Industry Forum. Wang Qinglin, deputy mayor of Taicang, accompanied them.

Wang gave an introductory speech on the local rose industry. He said the region has integrated rose culture into urban construction and eco-leisure tourism while boosting its agriculture sector.

The Taicang Modern Agricultural Park is one of the first agricultural industrialization demonstration bases approved by the Ministry of Agriculture.

Taicang is seeking breakthroughs in the development of the roses’ economy. Zhang re-affirmed his support.

Additionally, Zhang visited the Peony Garden of Liuheyuan Garden, Zheng He Park and Shaxi Ancient Town.
