Lu Liusheng visits Japanese and Korean companies
On March 7, Lu Liusheng, the secretary of the Taicang Municipal Party Committee, visited Japanese and South Korean companies in the Taicang New Area. Accompanied by Zhu Wanli,the deputy Mayor, Lu learned about its production operations. He said the local government will support development of Japanese and South Korean companies.
Lu visited two Japanese enterprises: Xinghe Electronic (Taicang) Co Ltd, Nissei Plastic Machinery (Taicang) Co. Ltd and one South Korean enterprise: Pinghe Jinggong Automobile Fittings (Taicang) Co Ltd.
Xinghe Electronic is a subsidiary of KOA Corporation whose main product is the chip resistor. Since it was founded 10 years ago with a total investment of 3 billion yen ($360million), its sales have risen annually. This year its output value is expected to reach 340 million yuan ($53.7million).
Nissei Plastic Machinery is the leading enterprise in the injection molding machinery sector in Japan. Last year its sales reached 300 million yuan ($47.4million).
Pinghe Jinggong Automobile Fittings has been elevated from a rental workshop to a self-built factory in the past 10 years. Its output value is expected to be more than 450 million yuan ($71.million), an increase of 35 percent over the last year.
Lu expressed gratitude for the contributions of the companies to boost economic and social development of the region. He said Taicang will pay more attention to innovations, scientific and technological research and talent recruitment.
He encourages companies to establish research and development centers and regional headquarters in the area. Meanwhile, regional government officials will continue its support for enterprises to achieve a win-win local business climate.
