Several companies from Binhu district, Wuxi, East China's Jiangsu province are participating in the 133rd China Import and Export Fair, also known as the Canton Fair, which started on April 15 and will run till May 5 in Guangzhou.
This year's fair is the largest in its history as the exhibition area and number of participating companies are record highs.
The Canton Fair has always been an important platform for Binhu enterprises to expand into international markets. Twenty-five Binhu companies from industries such as hardware, bathroom equipment, and luggage are showcasing their products at the event to attract new orders and explore business opportunities.

One of the companies is Wuxi Junchuangfei Satellite Technology Co Ltd, a high-tech enterprise specializing in satellite navigation and autonomous driving. The company displays intelligent garden machinery, cleaning equipment, and unmanned sightseeing cars among its other innovations at the fair. "This is our first time attending the fair physically, and we are very pleased with the heavy foot traffic," said Geng Ting, the company's representative.
The company became an industry leader in agricultural machinery automatic navigation in China in recent years. It began exporting last year and is expected to receive around 100-million-yuan ($14.55 million) worth of overseas orders this year.
Another Binhu company in attendance is Wuxi Kaiao Power Machinery Co Ltd, which is showcasing an upgraded version of super quiet generators that have been popular among customers in Southeast Asia. Meanwhile, Jiangsu Honggang Industries Co Ltd is displaying a wide range of new products in the automotive parts, general machinery, processing machinery, and bathroom equipment exhibition areas.
According to the district's bureau of commerce, Binhu enterprises will likely participate in over 100 overseas exhibitions this year.
