The first phase of the Wuxi metro line 5 will have seven stops in the city's Binhu district, according to a blueprint of the metro line.

The stops will be at Tang City, Turtle Head Island, Yufu Island, Hongqiao Road, Sports Center, Beihua Road, and Hubin Road.

The first phase of the metro line 5 will span 25.4 kilometers and have 22 underground stations. The 24.37 billion yuan ($3.5 billion) line is expected to be completed in 64 months.

The line will further improve Wuxi's railway transportation network and help boost the city's tourism industry as well as the social and economic development of areas along the route.
